What to Expect
Plaza features three casino bars:
- Lucky’s Bar: Part of the race and sports book, Lucky’s features video poker at the bar and a bunch of TVs so you can watch the games you’re losing money on.
- Oscar’s: Sure, this place is a steakhouse, but most importantly, it includes a bar. Grab a cocktail and raise a glass with namesake Oscar Goodman. Located in the legendary glass dome overlooking Fremont Street, Oscar’s has one of the best views downtown.
- Omaha Bar: Located on the edge of the casino floor near the showroom entrance, the Omaha Bar features a full selection of beer and cocktails. This bar offers video poker, and players drink free.

Oscars provided me with one of the better blue cheese olive experiences in Las Vegas. Efficient, freindly bartenders without being overbearing were complimented by the “Top Broad Vanna” who was social and very classy. This is a great place to kick off your evening before hitting the craziness of Fremont Street. I recommend the crab cakes as an appetizer.
Stayed at the Plaza 4/1/12. Had a Martini at Oscar’s bar, asked for one served just like Mr. (ex) Mayor’s: Bombay Sapphire, hold the vermouth, with a few olives hand-stuffed with Maytag blue cheese. OMG! Maybe it was a combination of the drink and atmosphere, but it was the BEST martini I’ve ever had! One per sitting was enough for me, but I’ll make this a ritual for every future Vegas trip!
Had a good time at Lucky’s Bar near the sports book with the bartenders and other patrons who had money on the football games we were watching. Had a nicely mixed Bloody Mary (not pre-mixed from a bottle). Bad video poker paytables at the sports bar, but the ambience was fun and service was great.
