What to Expect
When the weather is nice, what could be better than grabbing a cold cocktail or beer, sitting outside and watching the seemingly random collection of people wandering Fremont Street? Nestled next to Insert Coin(s) and directly across from The Griffin, Beauty Bar and Don’t Tell Mama, Vanguard Lounge is the only Fremont East bar currently offering sidewalk seating.
If it’s too hot outside, never fear. The sleek, modern, minimalist bar offers couches, tables and bar seating along with space to dance. House music is provided by DJs on Wednesday through Sunday after 9 p.m.
Like Downtown Cocktail Room, Vanguard Lounge is a mixology bar, specializing in custom drinks and fresh ingredients. The speciality menu offers several exotic concoctions (try the Hard 8), or you can put your trust in the hands of your bartender, letting him whip up something based on your tastes.

Busy bar top, with house infused liquors, fresh to home made mixers. Was there on a crazy busy night, which made me weary of ordering something complicated, even though I wanted to. Worth checking out for sure.
Love the site and it’s mission! As usual, anything with the “Dressen” touch is bound to be informative and entertaining! I’m so stoked that Tim and Michelle are spearheading this effort!
Makes me want to go downtown even more on my next visit!
