What to Expect
Most piano bars feature two piano players with the comic sensibility of your local top 40 radio morning DJ, pandering for tips and performing a limited catalog of hits from the ’70s and ’80s. Don’t Tell Mama isn’t your typical piano bar.
This relatively small room features a single grand piano and a collection of talented bartenders/vocalists who are just as likely to entertain you with their take on Lady Gaga or Dean Martin as the standard piano bar fare, Elton John or Billy Joel. Whether you’re singing along with the staff or are brave enough to take the stage yourself, Don’t Tell Mama provides a very different experience than you’ll get at other Fremont East bars.
The atmosphere is casual, the drinks are moderately priced and the music is likely to bring you back for more.

We spent part of an evening here last October. Really interesting set up. There is a piano player that you can get up and sing with. The servers and bartenders all sing with the piano player at certain times and they are all talented. Strong drinks, can’t remember the price but I’m sure it was reasonable. Going to head back there in 8 days!!
