Backstage Bar & Billiards is a 4,000-square-foot pool hall. The decor feature booths constructed from musicians’ tour cases and gold records lining the walls. The bar serves a full menu, including several microbrews.

If this place were in my neigborhood I’d be there every friday night. Great vibe. The videos go way back and deep. You’ll have a few “holy crap I forgot about this band” moments. Fun. Cool. Pulls it off while feeling legit. Beer can fun.
I live downtown & have watched them building the place for the last few months, so I’ve been looking forward to the opening. Checked it out on First Friday and I was blown away! Very cool rock ‘n’ roll vibe hits you as soon as you open the door – that and some really amazing visuals. Roadie-case coverings/leather upholstery/blue lights/black-light posters — who designed this place, anyway?
Great music & retro videos — and you gotta love the $4 PBRs. All in all it’s my new favorite Downtown and definitely the coolest place to hang out & drink & play pool.
