It’s no secret that this blog values the presence of a bar in any Fremont area establishment above any other feature. So we were delighted to find that the still-unnamed Michael Morton Mexican restaurant planned for the relatively tiny (and currently dumpy) space behind Commonwealth will indeed have a bar.

Based on plans filed with the city, the restaurant will include outdoor seating for 20 on Sixth Street, inside table seating for 80 and room for 11 degenerate drinkers at the bar.

The restaurant’s entrance will be tucked away behind a decorative wall in the alley. I’m sure it will look a tad better than it does today.

The restaurant will have live entertainment at least four nights a week.
