Just a couple weeks after Maharaja Hookah Cafe closed with little fanfare, plans have emerged to convert the space into a new restaurant and beer garden called Park on Fremont. Scheduled to open in October 2012, Park on Fremont will reportedly feature a bar, beer garden and restaurant, featuring custom cocktails, an impressive beer selection and gastropub fare. The space will feature “a park-like setting that places shabby-chic furniture, antique-style lampposts and a communal table in the shade of live oaks and extensive trellising,” according to Vegas Seven.

Why Park? Because the sign in the parking lot will say nothing more than “park,” according to the Review-Journal. That sounds a bit lame, but the park-like setting explanation from Vegas Seven makes a little more sense. Either way, we’re just happy to have another new place to drink headed for Fremont Street.
